 Caring for Steel Furniture

Though its powder-coated finish is rust-resistant, steel is prone to rust over time with exposure to the elements. In case of rust or scratches, lightly sand the affected area and apply touch-up paint. To maintain the finish, periodically apply a clear liquid automotive wax with a soft cloth.

 Caring for Aluminum Furniture

Aluminum frames will never rust. In case of scratches to the powder-coated paint finish, lightly sand the affected area and apply touch-up paint. To maintain the finish, periodically apply a clear liquid automotive wax with a soft cloth.

 Caring for Wrought-Iron Furniture

Though its powder-and E-coated finish is rust-resistant, wrought iron is prone to rust over time with exposure to the elements. In case of rust or scratches, lightly sand the affected area and apply touch-up paint. To maintain the textured finish, periodically apply mineral or baby oil or a clear liquid automotive wax with a soft cloth.

 Caring for Resin Wicker Furniture

Resin wicker is suitable for indoor or outdoor use and resists fading and mildew. To maintain it, wipe frames with a slightly damp cloth and dry completely; do no use bleach or solvents.

 Caring for Hardwood Furniture

If left untreated, hardwood furniture will weather and turn a natural gray. To preserve and maintain the original finish, apply linseed oil, available at most home centers and paint stores, at the end of each season. Store in cool, dry place when not in use.

 Caring for a Glass Tabletop

Always use an umbrella base to secure umbrella. Do not store anything on glass tabletop. Ensure the “O” ring is in place in the umbrella hole in the glass top before inserting umbrella. Make sure umbrella is in the closed position when not in use and during high winds.

Caring for a Ceramic Tile Or Stone Tabletop

Tabletop ceramic tiles or stone must be stored during Fall and Winter months in a dry location where temperatures will not fall below 32ºF (0ºC).

Caring for Outdoor Furniture with Cushions

Wash frames and cushions with a mild solution of soap and water; rinse thoroughly. Dry completely and drip-dry cushions. Do not machine wash or tumble dry, as cushions may shrink. Do not bleach or use solvents.

 Caring for an Umbrella

Wash umbrella and pole with a mild solution of soap and water; rinse thoroughly. Dry pole completely and allow umbrella to drip-dry in the open position. Do not use bleach or solvents on fabric. Umbrella should be closed when not in use. Umbrella should be removed and stored in the event of wind, rain, hail, sleet, snow, or any other inclement weather. To prevent damage to your table, always use umbrella base with your umbrella. Store indoors during Winter months.
